Introduction to Zaragoza - Cariena
Famous for its delicious wines, Spain's Carinena wine region is one of the oldest protected wine regions in Europe and a haven for wine connoisseurs. The region can be found in Campo de Carinena, just southwest of the city of Zaragoza, and has a history of producing wine since the 3rd century BC. The fabulous wines of the region are, of course, the main draw here, and there are some fantastic, quaint Cariena hotels that not only serve up this famous local drink, but arrange for tours of the vineyards. There are some historical attractions within the town of Carinena that should not be missed, such as the 16th century Town Hall and the Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion (Church of Our Lady of the Assumption). The Wine Museum of Carinena is another must-visit as it displays the history of the wine production industry of the region. other spellings: cariana otel, carena hote, careina hotles, careana hotle, ceriena hotes
