Introduction to Zamora, Spain
Zamora is the capital of the Spanish province of its same name and is located 50kms from the border with Portugal and sits next to the Duero River. The city is most well known for its Romanesque churches. Zamora boasts 24 of these particular churches, the most of any other city in Europe. The city is also known for its excellent local cuisine, with some considering it the best regional food in Spain. Hotels in Zamora are scattered around the city. Zamora hotels can be found for all types of tourists, from inexpensive youth hostels to five-star resorts along the river. The most notable attraction for the city is a tour of its 24 churches all modeled in the Roman style.
