Introduction to Zamora - City Centre
Famed for housing a plethora of Romanesque churches, Zamora is one of the most beautiful old cities in Spain, and quite possibly in Europe. It has the largest number of Romanesque-style churches in Europe, many of which were built in the 12th and 13th centuries. Zamora city centre is reasonably compact and contains many of the main tourist attractions, so getting around can be done on foot. Hotels in Zamora are centred around the heart of town.
