Introduction to Valencia - Benisano
Benisano is a charming town known for its numerous festivals, artistic and cultural lifestyle, and the Fountain of Health. It can be found in the northern region of Valencia, quite close to Serra Calderona Natural Park. It sits atop a hill, making for some superb holiday photos. January's Fiestas de San Antonio Abad is one of the town's busiest times of the year. Benisano hotels become full with visitors during the festivities. The Fiesta Patronales de Benisano is another extremely popular event. It takes place over three days each September. There are a few monuments in Benisano that simply must be seen including the 15th century parish church and the Benisano Castle. This castle is one the best conserved in Valencia and displays a beautiful frieze, ancient tiles and blue pottery.
