Introduction to Soria, Spain
The Spanish province of Soria in the central part of the country is not only Spain’s least populous province, but also one of Europe’s most sparsely populated regions. However, Soria’s small population also means the province is filled with pure fresh air, fragrant forests, and serene nature parks where visitors can escape from it all, especially at one of the hotels in Soria. Most Soria hotels are located in the provincial capital, also called Soria. The city may not have a lot of modern hotels, but those which do exist are quiet, scenic, and situated inside historic buildings. One historic Soria building has been converted to a parador from where guests enjoy a stunning view of the city. The city of Soria also includes a few youth hostels, as well as a campground located two kilometres outside of town. Advance reservations for all hotels in Soria are strongly recommended during the city’s festive Fiesta de San Juan, which takes place at the3 end of June every year.
