Introduction to Sierra Nevada, Spain
As the southernmost ski resort in Europe, southern Spain’s Sierra Nevada is one of the few places in the world where visitors can ski down the slopes in the morning and relax on the beach in the afternoon. On a clear day, skiers can see the nearby Mediterranean coastline and even the African country of Morocco from Sierra Nevada’s 70kms of stunning mountains and challenging slopes. This truly unique resort is home to many equally unique Sierra Nevada hotels, ranging from luxurious ski and health resorts to self catering apartments reminiscent of those found much further north in the Alps. The less crowded hotels in Sierra Nevada can be found along the road leading to the resort itself.
