Introduction to Seville - Poligono San Pablo
Located a couple of kilometres east of the city centre, Poligono San Pablo is one of Seville’s most traditional neighbourhoods. Santa Justa train station is located here and is one of the main gateways to the city. Here, regular high-speed AVE trains from Madrid, less than three hours away, arrive as well as slower overnight trains from Barcelona. In addition, there is easy access to San Pablo Airport, just 10 minutes’ drive away along Avenue de Kansas City. The Palacio de Deportes de Sevilla is an indoor sports arena holding more than 10,000 people. It is located on Avenue de Kansas City and is home to one of the city’s top basketball teams, CB Sevilla. The district is also home to a well-known church, Jesus Cautivo y Rescatado, which plays a huge part in the annual processions during Easter week (Semana Santa). Poligono San Pablo hotels can get crowded at this time, as does accommodation in all parts of Seville. However, staying in this commercial area offers great value during the city’s other peak times (April to May and September to October). Visit our Seville Travel Guide
