Introduction to Santander - Airport
Santander Airport is an international airport, located along the Bay of Biscay, and is the only airport in Spain's Cantabria region. It services flights to and from many countries throughout Europe, as well as domestic locations around Spain, Flights are operated by Air Nostrum, Iberia and low-cost carrier Ryanair. The airport sees over 900,000 travellers each year and is conveniently located right off of Autovia S-10, leading directly into the city of Santander. Two eateries and a shop can be found in the single terminal building, as well as a couple of ATMs, and there are a handful of Santander Airport hotels to choose from. Wireless internet is available throughout most of the terminal, and there is a post box for sending postcards to friends and family at home. There is a taxi stand directly outside of the terminal building to take passengers on the five-kilometre journey into the city, as well as a city bus that departs every 30 minutes and arrives at the Santander bus station.
