Introduction to San Sebastian, Spain
Located close to the French border in north central Spain’s Basque country, San Sebastian is an intimate and friendly city where visitors may swim, surf, and sunbathe on the beach immediately next to several ancient churches and other buildings. Hotels in San Sebastian are almost as easy to find as the numerous pintxos bars located throughout the city. Many San Sebastian hotels are small and intimate and can usually be found in the city’s lively and historic old town. Visitors seeking quieter guest houses and hotels in San Sebastian can easily find them less than a 10 minute walk away from the noisy parte vieja. These guest houses are quite affordable and good quality, but prices increase and vacancies can be tough to find during the summer season, when many hotels don’t accept reservations. Those on bigger budgets also have plenty of luxury accommodations to choose from, such as one hotel offering a spectacular city view atop a mountain and a Luxury Collection Hotel where many famous actors stay during San Sebastian’s famous film festival.other spellings: san sebastianhotels, sansebastian otel, sebastian hotell, sebastian hote
