Introduction to Pyrenees-Aragon - Barbastro
Located on the edge of the Spanish Pyrenees-Aargon north of Barcelona and Zaragoza, Barbastro is a historic town that lies close to a number of attractions. Set within a picturesque area of the country where two rivers, Vero and Cinca, meet, the town features a number of old buildings including a Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral, which dates back nearly 500 years. Many other buildings in the town, including the Town Hall, date back to a similar period. Barbastro is well-placed for the mountains farther north, the nearest of which are just half an hour away by car at the scenic Guara National Park, which is a prime spot for hiking during the summer. Farther afield, the city of Lleida is just over half an hour's drive, while Zaragoza is about one hour. There is a good selection of midrange Barbastro hotels right in the centre south of the river, many at very competitive prices.other spellings: barbastrohotels, babastro otel, barbatro hote, barbestro hotles, barbistro hotle
