Introduction to Pyrenees-Aragon - Arguis
Located in the centre of the Spanish Pyrenees-Aragon, Arguis is a classic little mountain town that makes a relaxing getaway in winter or summer. With fewer than 100 inhabitants, it's hardly bustling, but that is really the point given its scenic location more than 3,000 feet high, overlooking a stunning mountain reservoir. Whitewater rafting is a popular summer activity in the area, along with hiking and mountain biking. It is also just a few miles from Sierra de Guara National Park, which features canyons, amazing mountain vistas and long hilly trails that attract hardy walkers to the often tough terrain. In winter, the town makes a good base for nearby ski resorts. Arguis is famous in the art world as the home of the Master of Arguis nearly 600 years ago, but his work is now only on display in Madrid. Arguis hotels are severely lacking, so booking in advance is recommended.other spellings: arguishotels, arguis otel, arguis hote, argus hotles, argis hotle, arguis hotes
