Introduction to Pontevedra - City Centre
Pontevedra is a city which lies in the northwest of Spain and is the capital of the province of the same name. The municipality is located along the southwestern coast of an area commonly known as Rias Baixas. Pontevedra lies at the end of the rias, occupying the valleys of both the Tomeza and the Lerez rivers. It is also surrounded by four mountainous regions which are divided by two faults. The city centre is culturally rich and boasts a significant amount of architectural attractions worth visiting. The well-preserved medieval city centre has many small and popular plazas, most of which are lined with bars and cafes. Much of the centre is pedestrianised and it has some churches and monuments worth visiting. The main attractions include the weekly market in the town square and the sizable multi-building museum which spans five buildings. There are many Pontevedra City Centre hotels for visitors to choose from. other spellings: pontevedrahotels center, pontevedra city otel, pontevedra hotell citi, pontevedra hote
