Ciudad Rodrigo is 89 kms from Salamanca along N-620 and 28 Kms from Portugal along the E-80.

There are 26 rooms, one is a circular junior Suite which is decorated as a monastery cell. The rest are all different, four have a balcony facing the gardens and river agueda.

It has a magnificent view overlooking the river agueda, the historic town and the beautiful rural scenery extending into the distance. Whilst enjoying the view one can sample some of the typical cuisine of the region.

The entrance is gothic and bears the Royal coat of arms and a plaque in gothic letters. The castle stands on a hill in the heart of the town near the banks of the river agueda. The 'alcazar', a moorish fortress, is an imposing building with a beautiful garden. It is part of the ancient defences of the town whose centre is today under protection as an historic and artistic monument.
