Parador de Arcos de la Frontera Hotel - Cadiz

Located on the bank of the Guadalete River, the Parador de Arcos de la Frontera boasts views overlooking the surrounding plains and the old town of Arcos de la Frontera, which is further afield. Its location makes it a good jumping off point for driving to the wine producing areas, visiting the bull farms, and for following the famous Pueblos Blancos route. It is a practical base for day trips to the Grazalema National Park or for enjoying trekking, horse riding, and golfing in the surrounding area. The hotel is situated in the Plaza del Cabildo of the old town near the castle, town hall, and Church of Santa Maria.

The restaurant is a large room with wide windows overlooking the river. It features wooden beams, white arches, typical lanterns, solid wooden chairs and tables covered by white tablecloths. In a friendly atmosphere the restaurant offers the characteristic dishes of the Sierra region, the fish dish urta rote a, bull's tail or the tempting sampling menu with eleven dishes to savour. To accompany the meals, wines of Arcos are recommended.

The flowery tiles of the lobby brighten up the wooden furniture and the ochre terracotta floors.

The type of building where this parador is housed is traditional and singular due to its round shape structure. The building merges with the rest of the town featuring the typical Andalucian style. Inside the typical Andalusian courtyard is joined by traditional decorative elements such as latticework and ceramic tiles.
