Introduction to Navarra - Tudela
Plaza Nuevo hosts the biggest of the festivals in the city of Tudela, in the province of Navarra. The grand event takes place in June and like at Pamplona, it features a 'Running of Bulls'. This is one of the cultural aspects to a region which is already steeped in history and tradition. For visitors at any other time of the year, this plaza is one of the two main squares in the city, with the other being the Plaza de Los Fueros. The impressive Romanesque Tudela Cathedral is another fine example of the local architecture, which includes a number of 12th century churches located around the old part of the town.
