Introduction to Menorca - Playa Son Bo
The beaches on the Balearic island of Menorca are rightly regarded as some of the best in the Mediterranean, and one of the best beaches is Playa Bon So on the less developed east side of the island. Here, there is clear blue water for good snorkelling and great swimming, and a long wide beach for sunning and relaxing. The beach is some three kilometres long and the biggest on the island. Most of the tourist amenities here are gathered along the promenade and the seafront, and feature sea views. In addition to fine accommodation, Playa Son Bo has seafood restaurants which feature locally caught lobster and other delicious seafood. The eastern section of the beach offers ruins of a Christian church.
