Introduction to Menorca - Cala’n Porter
The south coast beach resort of Cala'n Porter is located about eight miles south of the centre of Menorca, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, not far from Ibiza. Menorca is well-known for its great food, and there are many restaurants and bars located around Cala'n Porter that serve fresh seafood and other delicacies. Cala'n Porter hotels are perfectly situated for making the most of the area's tourist attractions, and many have sea views. As the resort is fairly small, it is possible to explore it in its entirety on foot. Shopping here mostly consists of picking up souvenirs or beachwear. There is a viewpoint in the resort as well as a route to the beach that involves nearly 200 steps; many visitors prefer to hit the sand by road using the resort's 'land train'. Mahon Airport, the island's main entry point, is a 20 minute drive away.
