Introduction to Marbella - Cabopino
One of the best kept secrets of Spain's Costa del Sol is the beach town of Cabopino. Situated equidistant between Fuengirola and Marbella, the town features a pleasant harbour and a great beach. The lack of intrusive concrete apartment blocks so common along the Costa del Sol is one attribute that makes Cabopino a popular holiday destination for experienced Costa travellers. Pine trees and sand dunes make up most of the scenery, with a pretty little harbour at its centre, and there's a great selection of restaurants, many of them very well known, as well as bars and local shops to enjoy. The areas around the marina and along the beach are the best spots for enjoying one of the cafes or bars known as chiringitos, especially around sunset. Due to the rather small size of the town, there isn't a massive selection of Cabopino hotels available. The weekends tend to get busy here so it's best to make accommodation bookings well in advance.
