The Roman Ruins at Alcudia the walled town of Alcudia on the north of the island is well worth a visit. Alcudia is the oldest city in Majorca (Mallorca) and was the capital during the Roman occupation. The remains of the Roman city of Pollentia are close to the centre and it is easy to identify the layout of the buildings and some grand columns.
