Introduction to Mallorca - El Arenal Palma
El Arenal is a seaside resort located on the southwest coast of the Spanish Mediterranean holiday island of Mallorca. The resort is on Palma Bay, at the south end of the more famous resort of Playa de Palma. El Arenal features a soft, sandy beach and adjacent promenade as well as all the amenities necessary for a fun-filled holiday. There is a varied selection of El Arenal Palma hotels, both on the seafront and in the streets leading back from it. The seafront promenade is lined with bars, nightclubs and eateries. Fresh seafood, ethnic European cuisines and international fast food is all available here. Horse-drawn carriages and pedal cars are novel ways of getting around the resort. Those heading along the coast to Can Pastilla can board the tourist train service. The beach offers sun loungers, parasols and pedalo hire. Aqualand, between El Arenal and Can Pastilla, is one of the finest water parks in Europe and attractions such as Harakiri, Surf Beach and Anaconda offer thrilling experiences for young and old alike.
