Introduction to Mallorca - Deya
Deya is a picturesque village on the northwest coast of Majorca, a Spanish island located in the Balearic Sea off the east coast of Spain. This small village was made famous by poet Robert Graves, who lived here from the 1930s until his death. Many artists, including writers and musicians, still make pilgrimages to the island, the birthplace of their idol. Deya has many good restaurants and the food served here is excellent, with fresh seafood straight from the source. Deya hotels are ideally located for taking advantage of the numerous attractions on offer in the village, and many of them have breathtaking views of the sea. A cosmopolitan set of international visitors frequent the village's 20 or so eateries and bars, some of which are celebrities. The delightful cove here is worth a trip just for its photographic appeal, with its blue waters and pebble beach. Visit our Mallorca Travel Guide
