The natural sheltered harbour at Cala Figuera is incredibly scenic. It cuts its way into Mallorca's coastline and is lined with traditional houses and docked boats. This traditional fishing village turns its focus to tourism each summer as a small but loyal band of visitors converge on its scenic villas and Cala Figuera hotels. The lack of a sandy beach or swimming areas in town has helped it avoid any of the mass tourism so common on Mallorca, so visitors can expect more of an upscale yachting scene than a crowded beach resort. Just along the coast, however, are excellent, undeveloped beaches to enjoy like Cala Santanyi and Cala Llombard. The town itself creeps up the steep, rocky hills surrounding the harbour, with just enough places to eat and drink. Cafes at the top of the cliffs offer amazing views over the harbour and sea from their outdoor terraces.
