Introduction to Lugo - City Centre
Lugo is situated in Spain's northwestern Galacia region and is the capital city of the province which goes by the same name. The city centre is completely surrounded by intact Roman walls, with the city the only place in the world where this is the case. These walls reach a height of 15 metres along a circuit which stretches for 2,117 metres and has 71 towers.
