Introduction to Guadalajara, Spain
Around 60kms to the north of Madrid, on the Henares River, is the city of Guadalajara. It is a historic city with many beautiful and significant churches as well as the Palacio del Infantado. The hotels in Guadalajara, especially close to the historic monuments, are in the old town buildings, giving them much character and the air of history and mystery. These hotels are generally guesthouses and small businesses. Slightly away from the old areas of the city is where the larger and more modern hotels in Guadalajara are.
