Introduction to Girona - Alp
Nestled within the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains near the border of France, is Spain's Girona village of Alp, busting with natural and cultural attractions. It is conveniently situated along highway E-9, making it a great place to use as a base for exploring this magnificent mountain region, as well as the natural parks within the Catalan High Pyrenees. It is an ideal holiday destination for those going on nature walks and hikes or enjoying adventure sports such as mountain climbing and snowboarding. The area has some stunning landscapes that make for lovely backdrops from the windows and balconies of Alp hotels, and result in some fantastic holiday photographs. The village is less than 10kms away from the historic city of Puigcerda, also in Girona, which is located right along the French border, a great place to go for a daytrip.
