Introduction to Gipuzkoa, Spain
Gipuzkoa is a province in north-central Spain that is part of the Basque Country. This is a pretty land of rolling green hills and a sparkling seashore. Hiking is popular here amid mountains with names like Izarraitz, Txindoki and Aiako Harria. Also majestic are the province's rivers that flow from the mountains, carving out narrow valleys along their way to the Bay of Biscay. The surfing is excellent here. Two highlights of Gipuzkoa's Old Town are the Basilica of Santa Maria and Constitucion Square. Don't forget to enjoy Kursaal Palace and the bridges, not far from the scenic mouth of the Urumea River. Fishermen's homes can be admired here. Another delight is a decent aquarium. The pedestrian avenues of Donostia's Enlargement come alive every evening, when there are fine strolling opportunities. Other scenic spots include Gipuzkoa Square, Alderdi-Eder Gardens and the waterfront, where there are with views of La Concha Bay. Many Gipuzkoa hotels offer terrific water views.other spellings: gipuzkao guipuzcoa hotels, otelin gipuzoka guipezcao, gipekzoa guipuscoa hotell
