Introduction to Cuenca, Spain
Located in the central region of Spain is the large province of Cuenca. The capital city of the province goes by the same name, which is split into the old and new towns, and is now is UNESCO World Heritage Site. Being an old town, many of the hotels in Cuenca are in old traditional and majestic buildings. The old town is full of historic sites and museums, and the Cuenca hotels in this area are usually a little more expensive, though not necessarily of a better quality than elsewhere in the city. You can find some cheaper hotels and other accommodation in the old town, but it may be better to look in the new town. The Cuenca hotels in the new town are more modern, and there are some chain hotels around. The outskirts of the city are where you will find small B&Bs and holiday apartments, from which you can easily get into the centre.
