Introduction to Costa Daurada - Tarragona
The region of Costa Daurada is located on the Catalonia coast of Spain, near the mouth of the Ebro River. Known for its majestic stretches of golden sand beaches, this region and especially the southern city of Tarragona are well-established tourist destinations. There are a great number and variety of attractions to explore here. Some of these including the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Roman Ruins of Tarraco; the 2nd century Amphitheatre; the Palace of Augustus and the Arch of Sura. All of these ancient remains of civilizations pasts draw crowds of visitors each year. Then there is Tarragona’s collection of spectacular religious monuments, such as the 12th century Romanesque Cathedral, the Poor Clares' Convent and the Church of the Capuchins. Being a Spanish sea-side resort, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to the number and variety of restaurants, taverns and pubs. Hotels in Costa Daurada also exist in sheer abundance and range from low-cost backpackers to high-end luxurious resorts.other spellings: tarragonahotels, taragona otel, tarragorna hotell, terragona hote, tarragona hotle
