Introduction to Costa Brava - Calella de Palafrugell
Best known for its traditional Voltes archways and traditional sea-shanty sing-alongs accompanied by rum coffees, the small resort and fishing town of Calella de Palafrugell lies in Girona Province, along a number of tiny, picturesque coves with restaurants and bars set back from the sandy beaches. Less commercialised than most resorts in the region, Calella gets busy during the summer season, but handles the increased visitor numbers with flair.
