Introduction to Barcelona - Montjuic
Barcelona is a wondrous city that is full of life and enchantment. One of the more beautiful and tourist-friendly places to visit in the city is the district of Montjuic. Renowned the world over as the site of the 1992 Olympic Games, this area is actually a hill that overlooks the bustling streets of Spain’s football-mad city. The first thing visitors will see after leaving their Montjuic hotels is the area’s telecommunications tower that roars into the sky. The next thing will probably be the former Olympic Stadium. The Palau Nacional is one of the main historical sites in the city and housed the impressive National Art Museum of Catalonia. It is possible to reach the building via railway then gondola lift. The Museum of Ethnology and the Catalan Museum of Archaeology are both fantastic places for history enthusiasts, with their interesting collections.
