Catalonia, an autonomous community located in the very northeast of Spain, consists of four provinces, the most famous of which is Barcelona. The other three are Tarragona, Girona and Lleida. In addition to Barcelona, the region is renowned for its beaches on the Costa Dorada and the Costa Brava as well as its relatively mild climate.
