Introduction to Avila - City Centre
Avila is a UNESCO World Heritage city in Spain and it’s easy to see why. The old city centre is contained within the old ramparts, which were the first defence against Moorish invaders in the 11th century. In the old town the Avila hotels have the same medieval look, so visitors wanting to get a real feel for this unique city should consider a city centre hotel. On the outskirts of the city the Avila hotels are modern but functional affairs aimed at the tourists who come to see the region. Among the many superb old buildings in the centre, there is a former Spanish palace that has been converted to become one of the best hotels in Avila. There’s no doubting this is one of the most unique ancient cities in Europe, so visitors to the area should make every effort to see Avila and, if possible, stay in the city.other spellings: avila citycentre hotels, avila otel city center, avila city center hotell, avilla citycentre
