Walking tours: there are several walking tours that can be enjoyed in the city. The six main routes cover a number of interesting historical sites including Deoksugung Palace and Jeong-dong, Gyeonbokgung Palace and Insadong, Jomgyo Shrine and Cahnggyeonggung Palace. Many of the city parks also have picturesque walking paths and Mount Dobong has several trails that lead up to its peak.
Amusement parks: entertainment parks are scattered throughout city with the favourites being the Children’s Grand Park, Dreamland and Seoul Land. The Children’s Grand Park has a zoo, a botanical garden and an amusement arcade. Dreamland was opened almost 20 years ago but it still continues to attract thousands of visitors. It is the biggest amusement park in Seoul and has some of the most thrilling rides. Seoul Land is divided into five separate areas, each with its own theme. Themes include Fantasy Land, Adventure Land and Samchulli Land with its Korean cultural atmosphere.
Golf: playing a game of golf at Seoul is an expensive affair and access is usually limited to affiliated golf memberships. However, there are several driving ranges all over Seoul that are easily accessible.
Swimming: there are good beaches on tranquil islands that are excellent for swimming. The nicest beaches can be found around Incheon while many of the hotels and parks have fantastic pools.
