Earthenware Folklore Museum: is the only one of its type in Korea and was started by the Chong Byung Lak. The primary aim of the museum is to educate its visitors about the connection between earthenware and Korean society. There are more than 3,000 earthenware objects on exhibition including pieces from the 1300s to the present day.
497-15 Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu. Open: 10:00 to 18:00, Tuesday to Sunday.
Global Village Folk Museum: precious relics from around the world including clothing, models of abodes and ritual tools are on display at the museum. The biggest mask in the world, the heaviest silver coin, a Peruvian mummy, dance masks and an elephant mask made of rare gems are part of its extraordinary display. There are also displays that show how tribes lived in isolated areas and how their culture developed.
Mt. 1-3 Yongsan-dong, Yongsan-gu. Open: 09:00 to 20:00, Monday to Sunday.
Horim Museum: opened in 1979, displays exhibits dating from the Bronze Age right through until modern times. There are over 3,000 earthenware items, 500 metal-craft pieces of art, 4,000 items of pottery and 2,000 paintings on display.

Sungkok Art Museum: is home to its own wishing pond, sculpture garden and more than one hundred varieties of trees. Inside there is a stunning display of contemporary art.
