Busan (Pusan) Travel Guide - Getting There
From the airport, airport limousine buses connect many points in the city, taking about 30 minutes. There are also city buses that can take you downtown with cheaper fares. You can also take a taxi from the airport to the city centre.
By train: alternatively, if you want to travel by train, KTX trains connect Seoul to Busan via Daegu and Daejeon in 160 minutes, while other trains, such as Saemaeul and Mugunghwa, connect Busan with other major cities. KTX trains are the better choice as they are much faster. All trains arrive at the Busan station located between Nampodong and Seomyeon. There are many motels and eateries near the station.
Two main bus stations here are Dongbu Intercity Bus Terminal at Nopodong Station, receiving buses from the north and east including Daegu, Gyeongju, Seoul and Ulsan; and Seobu Intercity Bus Terminal at Sasang Station, receiving buses from western areas such as Jinju and Masan.
By ferry: Busan has a major port that operates international ferry services to Japan and China. The cheapest option is the Kanpu Ferry, which provides overnight runs to Shimonoseki. The most frequent is the JR Kyushu's Beetle hydrofoils to Fukuoka that run five times a day. The trip takes less than three hours.
