Introduction to Seoul - Youngdeungpo
Youngdeungpo is a district in the southwest of Seoul, on the banks of the Han River. The district is well-connected by public transport, with travellers coming from the south of the country able to take high-speed KTX trains directly to Youngdeungpo. The most well-known part of the district is Yeoui-do; an island on the Han River that is home to Seoul's skyscraper district. The National Assembly and the Korean Stock Exchange are both found on the island. Yeoui-do is served by subway lines 5 and 9, offering easy access to several attractive parks. Guests staying at Youngdeungpo hotels have the chance to visit Yeouido Park and Han River Public Park, the latter being a favourite spot for rollerblading. Yeouido Park attracts more than 60,000 people on weekend days - sometimes more when a high-profile concert takes place. Yeoui-do is also a good place to start any ferry excursion along the Han River.
