Introduction to Seoul - Yongsan - Itaewon
Yongsan-gu means 'Dragon Hill' and its name derived from Hanja characters. It is situated north of the Han River and from this district you can see the Seoul Tower. This is a cosmopolitan district of Seoul which is home to approximately 250,000 people. A key location in this area is the electronic market where locals and tourists alike flock to purchase low-cost electronics. Another tourist attraction is the shopping malls which sell brand name and discount items. There are restaurants inside the malls which serve local cuisine and offer respite from the crowds. The Itaewom commercial district is located in Yongsan-gu and access is provided by Yongsan Station. At night, this city district comes alive and tourists can enjoy the vibrant nightlife at a range of clubs where it is possible to dance the night away.
