The city of Mokpo is found in the southwestern region of South Korea and supports a population of about 250,000 people. There are several transportation methods tourists can use to reach the city as Mokpo contains ferry services from its port, an airport commonly known as Muan International Airport, and high-speed rail services which connect the city to larger metropolises within South Korea, like Seoul and Incheon. Mokpo hotels are in abundance and are situated close to the main attractions within the city. Museums number quite high in the city but one of the more renowned establishments is Mokpo Natural History Museum, which houses amazing relics that are centuries old. Situated right in the heart of the city is Yudalsan National Park. It hosts a beautiful flower festival in May which attracts thousands of visitors. It is easy to simply jump on a boat and take a daytrip to the islands of the Yellow River.
