The Giheung-Gu district of South Korea's Yongin city is conveniently located next to a key motorway interchange to the northwest of the city centre. Here in southern Gyeonggi Province, hotels in Giheung-Gu put visitors within easy reach of key local attractions as well as the capital city, Seoul. Everland, the most popular theme park in the country, is only a few kilometres to the east. Hanguk Minsokchon, the Korean Folk Village, is an interesting recreation of traditional life and culture. Located just a few minutes away, the village sits close to a pair of golf courses. The area is home to several universities, including Yong-In, Myongji and Kangnam. Hwaseong Fortress, a stunning stone complex built in the late 1700s and recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, is only 30 minutes to the west. The palace, Hwaseong Hanggung, is immediately next to the fortress. Transport links are superb. Highway 50 and Highway 1 are both minutes away. Seoul's subway network extends to a pair of stations nearby and intercity buses can be caught at Yongin's central bus terminal.
