Introduction to Changnyeong, South Korea
An area of great natural beauty, historic Changnyeong County is located in South Korea's South Gyeognsang Province. The key community is the eponymously-named town that sits between Masan and Daegu. Ancient burial mounds dating from the Gaya Period are located just outside the town, as is an interesting museum. Another major attraction is the huge Upo Wetlands area, which is rapidly gaining popularity with eco-tourists thanks to the incredible range of flora and fauna that live in stunning scenery. In August and September, fireflies provide real excitement here. Bugok Oncheon hot springs, located at the foot of Mount Deokamsan, are among the country's best spa areas, and many hotels in Changnyeong can be found nearby. Yet more stunning scenery can be enjoyed along the Nakdong River, the country's longest, as it winds its way through the province towards Busan in the south. The area enjoys strong transport links, with a busy intercity bus station located in Changnyeong. Domestic flights are available from Gimhae, which is easily reached on Highway 10, better known as the Namhae Expressway.other spellings: changnyeonghotels, changnyong otel, channyeong hotell, changyeong hote
