Introduction to Bucheon, South Korea
Sandwiched between the popular South Korean destinations of Seoul and Incheon, with great transport links to both, the city of Bucheon is a great place to spend a little time. The city is home to the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, and concerts are held here at regular intervals throughout the year. This is also a good city for shopping as traditional markets can be found all over; the largest and most vibrant of these is located on the southern side of the main train station, close to a large number of other businesses such as banks and restaurants. Film buffs will want to time their trip to coincide with the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, which is held in July. For other entertainment there is a selection of lively bars, many Korean and a few foreign restaurants, including, surprisingly one Indian and one Nepalese establishment.
