Introduction to Ansan, South Korea
Just south of Seoul is the city of Ansan, situated in Gyeonggi province. Accessible from South Korea’s capital city via subway, Ansan is a jumping point to explore the islands which dot the Yellow Sea, locally known as the West Sea. The largest island is called Daebu, with a population of 7,100. Noted for its tourist industry, day trips to visit the island are a popular past time. Interestingly, the island is home to an English village, an immersion program for Korean students of English language.
