Introduction to Nelspruit - City Centre
The South African city of Nelspruit, located in the northeast of the country 330kms from Johannesburg, was officially renamed Mbombela in 2009. The city is set on the Crocodile River, is home to over 200,000 people and is the agricultural hub for the region's orange-growers. Nelspruit is also a hub for tourists heading for nearby Kruger National Park and onward to Mozambique. The city centre is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and is where most of the traveller facilites are located.
