Misty Hills Country Hotel - Johannesburg

This is a fantastic 4 star hotel and a great place to escape and feel like you're in the bush whilst being close to central Johannesburg. Misty Hills Country Hotel has a fully equiped gym, tennis and volleyball courts, two swimming pools (indoor and out), an excellent spa with a unique Japanese reflexology garden and and a variety of treatments. There is also a curio shop, a pub and free secure parking. Best of all is the memorable Carnivore restaurant which attracts people from all over the city and South Africa and serves some of the best food in the country.

The rooms are housed in an attractive 2 storey stone block and have Colour television with satellite TV, telephone, radio alarm clock, fan, heater, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer in the ensuite bathroom. Each room has an African theme with local art and textiles used to good effect.

The hotel has two excellent restaurants; The Summerhouse restaurant is a picturesque venue for elegant dining with large windows that overlook the hotel's beautiful gardens. Hotel guests can choose from a buffet meal or from the a la carte menu. Open all week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The famous Carnivore Restaurant takes after its sister restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya, and offers the same high standard of game meat and fine dining.

This cosy small reception is open 24 hours a day, offers a full concierge service and has a very welcoming feel to it. There are seats and sofa chairs for guests to relax in when checking in.

A very discreet etstate comprising of a series of thatched attractive stone lodges set in acres of landscaped gardens and forest. Each lodge feels remote and hidden.
