This is a stunning apartment hotel and the rooms really are of a high quality. It is a perfect home for someone wanting something a little different to a conventional hotel whilst living in the centre of the city. The hotel has a 50 ft rooftop swimming pool with sun loungers and a new gym opening in September 2007. There is a business centre and parking facilities.
These apartments are really very stylish with fully equiped self catering kitchens, a bright dining and lounge area as well as a comfortable en-suite bedroom. The rooms are carpeted and have very stylish furnishings with bed covers and curtains. Each apartment has been thoughtfully designed and has artwork on the walls and tastefull sculptures and vases. The rooms have internet connection and satellite flat screen TV's.
There is no restaurant attached to the Mandel Rhodes Place but there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Room service is available 24 hours a day and a grocery shopping service is also available.
Lobby:
The lobby is unusual in that it has 3 entrances from different streets surrounding the building. It is a vast lobby with an 8 floor atrium dominated by huge star shaped inflatables hanging down from the bright glass ceiling. The smokey grey tiled floor, leather sofas and black concierge desk give the ground floor lobby a modern stylish look. The lobby shares space with some excellent retail units including Cape Town's first urban winery as well as a bar and a cafe.
Exterior:
3 buildings converted into one, this is one of the tallest buildings in the city centre.
