Introduction to Singapore - Sentosa Island
Singapore's Sentosa Island is an area dedicated to beaches, entertainment and retail. The newly-developed Resorts World is a large complex where casinos, shopping malls and a Universal Studios amusement park can be found. Entry to the different attractions can be pricey, but they are worth the admission cost in terms of the entertainment they provide. Outside of Resorts World, it is recommended to go up the Tiger Observation Tower to get spectacular views of the island. The Dolphin Lagoon is where tourists can watch dolphins performing stunts and tricks. For lovers of history, the former British naval base of Fort Siloso is a great spot to learn more about the role the base played in WWII. Sentosa Island has the largest aquarium in Asia, called Underwater World. There are also three beaches on the island where it is possible to relax in the hot Singaporean sun. Sentosa Island hotels are usually expensive and popular all year round. other spellings: sentosahotels, hotelssentosa, santosa, sentoesa, sendosa, zentosa, sentosa singapore
