Permit issue is dependent on visitors having a passport with a validity of at least six months from the date of entry, proof of an onward ticket and sufficient funds to cover their holiday ($US150 per day). Extensions to the one-month permit can be applied for but applications need to be made one week prior to the expiry of the original period.
