Mahe Island Travel Guide

Nightlife

Nightlife in Mahe Island
Indeed, evening entertainment on the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue is focused around the hotels; hence visitors can expect cultural shows, casinos and small in-house discotheques. Many holidaymakers are content to spend evenings on the beach just enjoying the sunset followed by a spot of stargazing and fruit-bat watching – simple pleasures but ones that are often hard to find back home.
Restaurants tend to close fairly early and public transportation is scarce of in the evening. Visitors choosing to eat anywhere beyond walking distance of their accommodation will need to either drive their own rental vehicle or hire the services of a taxi, the latter being a relatively expensive option.
