One of most picturesque beaches in the entire Seychelles archipelago, and also one of the widest, is Anse Intendance, a stable beach of soft, fine sand, made so by the high-energy waves. It's a favourite surfing spot for locals and visitors due to the all-year big swells sweeping into the bay, although strong cross-currents just offshore make swimming dangerous at times.
