Malt tasting: many of Aberdeen’s pubs feature extensive collections of single and blended malts, but the ultimate whiskey-tasting experience is undoubtedly the Malt Whisky Trail which extends for 30 miles in the surrounding area. The trail takes in famous whiskey names like Glen Grant and Glenfiddich, with tours of the different distilleries and a tasting session at the end.
Golf: as with other areas of Scotland, Aberdeen offers its fair share of first-class golf courses set among idyllic scenery. The renowned Royal Aberdeen Golf Course, dating back more than 200 years, and the Royal Deeside are two of the highlights on Aberdeen’s golfing circuit that lie within easy reach of the city.
